We are looking for someone:

• Who is a software architect looking to take their career and our software to the next level
• With a team mindset, highly collaborative and enjoys a fast-paced, team environment
• That has previously, and successfully defined architectures for decoupled services on AWS
• That enjoys learning new technologies, concepts, and areas of business
• That champions the causes of uptime, reliability, compliance, privacy, and security at Blackline
• That enjoys mentoring other team members and advising on and implementing best practices

• Significant experience with Python, SSO, web APIs, single page apps, and web app development
• Experience building maintaining highly available, cost-efficient, and scalable environments
• Proven and strong knowledge of AWS (S3, API Gateway, Cognito, Lambdas, as well familiarity with RDS, EC2, ECS, Code Pipeline, Cloud Formation, etc.), and Docker
• Familiarity with SOA and/or event driven architectures using Kafka would be an asset
• A degree in computer science, software engineering or similar education
• Bonus points if you have experience with networking, cellular and satellite communications
