As a result of rapid growth and significant user adoption of its solutions in North America, Blackline is doubling its sales force. Blackline is looking for passionate, self-motivated individuals driven to be highly successful professionals. As a Blackline Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing regional and national distribution partners located within your territory and delivering strong revenue growth. In this role you will identify and create new business opportunities with your distributors and end-users to achieve all sales and profit targets. The successful candidate will be comfortable meeting with and presenting to distributors, field level end users, and the C-Suite.

Position Overview:
  • Full-time salary plus commission
  • Compensation includes health benefits, car allowance, expense coverage, paid vacation, 401K matching, and access to Blackline options
  • Travel availability of 50%

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth through distribution partners by supporting their sales and marketing efforts
  • Provide field-level support conducting end-user calls with distributor sales representatives
  • Support distribution through the entire sales process from initial contact to purchase order and transition to the implementation team
  • Ongoing generation of new opportunities, both with distribution and directly with end-users, contributing to sales funnel growth to support sales quota achievement
  • Timely follow up on leads created by Blackline demand generation efforts
  • Identify and qualify new distribution as required to ensure appropriate geographic and vertical market coverage
  • Work with the world’s lea to transform their overall safety programs
  • Generate new business by developing customer relationships in their regions and vertical markets
  • Attend industry trade shows promoting the Blackline brand growth, industry networking, securing new leads, and enhancing relationships with existing clients
  • Provide weekly pipeline opportunity updates to Director of Sales including progress on specific distribution opportunities and status of prospective end-user clients
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals 

What We're Looking For

Desired Skills / Experience:

  • Self-motivated, critical thinker with a proven ability to execute strategic sales plans
  • Results focused demonstrated through consistent success in increasingly senior sales roles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships
  • Demonstrated network of clients which can lead to immediate opportunities
  • Strong background of strategic account management as a manufacturer representative or distributor sales professional
  • Experience selling complex, strategic business solutions
  • Proven track record of providing large enterprise sales solutions
  • Sales training with Sandler, Miller Heiman, Ray Leon, or other industry leading training is an asset
  • Above average capabilities with productivity tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • High degree of proficiency with CRM

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years B2B with a distributor or manufacturer selling complex services or products
  • Experience selling gas detection or safety-related services is considered a benefit
  • A track record of success increasing market share and securing net new business through a distribution business model
