Now Monitoring Customers in the United States

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - May 7, 2015) - Today Blackline GPS (TSX VENTURE:BLN) ("Blackline"), a leader in the employee safety monitoring industry, announces its in-house Safety Operations Center has increased geographic coverage to serve customers located in the United States.

This around-the-clock service complements Blackline's Loner® portfolio of safety monitoring products and services, delivering a one-stop solution that enhances every employer's work-alone program. The Safety Operations Center manages all safety alerts triggered by employee-worn Loner devices including detected falls, person-down events, and manually-triggered help requests. Through efficient management of all incidents from receipt through to resolution, employers are able to maximize their ability to make a difference when an employee requires assistance.

"Since introducing our Safety Operations Center in Canada last quarter, we have on-boarded many U.S. customers, bringing the total number of monitored personnel to approximately 3,500," says Kevin Meyers, COO at Blackline. "We offer the highest quality monitoring services. Instead of using internal resources, many of our customers choose to have Blackline monitor their employees so they can keep their teams focused on business operations."

Blackline's Safety Operations Center has an exclusive focus on employee safety, delivering 24/7/365 availability and leading emergency response management capabilities from within a state-of-the-art facility. Unlike a conventional phone-based check-in system, Loner solutions communicate a safety alert to monitoring personnel in real-time using a combination of automatic and manual safety alert triggering, location technology, and wireless communications. Safety Operations Center monitoring agents respond to safety alerts immediately and follow the employer's custom emergency response protocol to manage the situation in the fastest time possible. Unlike traditional call centers, Blackline's Safety Operations Center is able to escalate to local 9-1-1 emergency services throughout the United States and Canada.

No matter where an employee is located - within buildings, populated areas, or the remote reaches of our planet, Blackline provides a complete suite of employee safety monitoring solutions to match the challenge and make a difference.
