Blackline Wins Minnesota Department of Corrections Contract

Diana Winger January 23, 2012

PHOENIX, ARIZONA--(Marketwire - Jan. 23, 2012) - At the American Correctional Association 2012 Winter Conference, Blackline GPS (TSX VENTURE:BLN) ("Blackline" or "the company") is announcing the successful contract award for the purchase of 50 Blackline Loner® GPSsafety devices by the Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC).

As part of a state wide Minnesota DOC safety improvement initiative, the adoption of the Loner GPS product will provide real-time safety monitoring for their Intensive Supervised Release (ISR) agents. In the event of a safety incident, Loner GPS identifies the agent in need of assistance and maps their precise location within a monitoring center for emergency response.

"It is a priority for the department to protect our corrections agents and mitigate risks to their physical harm," said Victor Wanchena of the Minnesota DOC. "In evaluating the proposals to accomplish this task we were seeking a solution that provides us with a product that is both easy to use and provides reliable real-time agent safety monitoring."

"Blackline's Loner GPS device is one component of our integrated approach to monitoring of worker safety that includes real-time mobile alerting, a hosted web application, mapping of worker locations and web services" said Cody Slater, CEO of Blackline GPS. "Our end-to-end technology ownership enables us to meet the safety monitoring needs of law enforcement and correctional officers."

Blackline's safety solutions are on display at booth 925 at the American Correctional Association 2012 Winter Conference in Phoenix, AZ, running from January 20th through 25th.
